New pictures of the Empress!

Here are some new pictures of our little Empress.

Annalisa is doing well and adjusting to the new time zone and surroundings. She has an upper respiratory infection and has been on medications for a week. Despite that and 6 teeth coming through she has gained about 1/2 pound. At her last pediatrician's appointment she weighed in at almost 17 pounds.

She refuses to sleep in her crib or by herself but she goes to bed at about 7:30 and gets up around 7:00am but because of her congestion and cough she is not sleeping well. She is constantly waking up, crying and wanting to be comforted. By default mommy is exhausted! By the time I comfort her back to sleep I am awake myself and by the time I fall back asleep she wakes up again coughing.

Besides her sleeping problems she is doing very well. During the day she is a delight to be around. She laughs a lot and loves to crawl around the house getting her hands into everything especially the things she is not supposed to touch, like the dog food bowl. She is getting along with the pets and loves to touch them (actually she pulls their fur) but the pets are still staying away from her until she learns to be more gentle with them.

Life is good! We are starting to get the hang of parenthood and establishing some sort of a routine. I really hope that once she gets better her sleeping habits will improve giving mom a much needed rest.

We had this outfit hand made in China. A seamstress came by the hotel and delivered the finished product a couple of days later.
